cool! was looking at some vids of nomeansno last night. i'm new to the band but man! those guys are tight. seriously excellent musicians.
if i may quote myself from an email to a friend recently:
well, then looking at vids of sonic youth then led to vids of an old hardcore band, nomeansno, which i just started listening to. check them out on youtube. damn, it warms my heart to see 50-something punks kicking butt who also possess excellent technical chops. they are astonishing and if i could get just a little of their energy and prowess into my writing i'll die a satisfied man.
i'm completely with you on wanting to get some of their energy into my writing
